David Ebenstein started his printing and graphics career in the late 1960s, using a mimeograph machine to create a newsletter for friends and family. By 1972, David was an editor for one of the school newspapers at Brooklyn College. He took his newspaper from hot type, to cold type in 1974. Upon graduation, David worked in a design studio and printing company in Manhattan until moving to Florida in 1979, where he worked in print shops in North Miami, Hallandale, and Davie. In 2005, he bought Trans America Printing in West Palm Beach and in 2010, changed the name to The Art of Printing. In 2016, he left the company to start National Print & Design. From sales, to design, to production and to delivery, David handles all aspect of printing. David says, “the one thing I have that no one else can give their customer, is my word.”
Sarah Koester started her design career in 2010 at The Art of Printing. She originally joined the printing company to work in the bindery. When an opening in the graphics department became available, she took the opportunity to show her skills on a computer. In 2016, Sarah left and started National Print & Design with David. Over the past 7 years, she has handled design projects for nonprofits and startup companies along with the rebranding of existing companies. Her skills enable her to fix and adjust other designer’s files. Sarah handles all incoming projects and the digital department, as well as all of National Print & Design’s design projects.
